Head Office of the Kendra is situated at Veenapani Bhawan, Laxmipur-
Balbhadrapur, Laheriasarai, Darbhanga
As this Kendra is an undertaking of the Draupadi Devi-Gopi
Kant Jha Charitable Trust which is registered under Section 12A of the Income-tax
Act, 1961, and donation to the Trust is entitled for exemption as per the provisions
of Section 80G of the Income-tax Act, 1961.
The Aims and Objects of the Kendra
To function as a centre for the study of the Bhagavadgita
and for dissemination of its ideas for the good of mankind.
To study the Bhagavadgita from all observation-posts
adopting diverse approaches: historical, comparative , sociological ,
analytical, philosophical , functional …..
To study the Bhagavadgita with reference to the Indian
traditions and thoughts in the contexts of the ideas developed and articulated
in various civilizations known to mankind.
To study the influence and impact of the Bhagavadgita
on the lives and deeds of individuals, and on the values and mores of
various societies in the world.
To conduct seminars, symposia, workshop and discussion-centres for the
study and evaluation of the ideas of the Bhagavadgita.
To set up a library to house literature on the Bhagavadgita
and to build up an archive pertaining to the Bhagavadgita.
To publish books, papers, journals, and brochures with the prime object
of advancing our understanding of the Bhagavadgita.
To conduct research or to help other institutions or/and individuals
in conducting research on any aspact of the Bhagavadgita and
its relevance to our times.
To promote and develop or exchange knowledge by co-operating with institutions
and persons having similar pursuits.
To provide for all facilities including financial assistance for the
study and dissemination of the ideas of the Bhagavadgita.
To build, maintain and run the necessary infrastructure for realization
of the aims and objects of the Kendra.
To recognize affiliate, associate, participate and collaborate with
other institutions or undertakings having similar objectives.
To explore the realm of the Bhagavadgita , the very
grammar of existence, to crystallize ideas which can function as guidance
for everyone.
To study the Bhagavadgita from the observation- posts of a scientist,
an economist, a management expert, an administrator, a political scientist,
a philosopher, an artist, a literary critic….to find out things of relevance
in this great grammar of existence.
To develop ways to rise above the limitations of knowledge and of words
in pursuit of wisdom ; and to develop ways so that all of us are free
from fear : and have right perception of duties and sincere commitment
to perform them.
To provide a forum for study of the Bhagavadgita from
all observation posts and to experiment in life with ideas enunciated
therein.

Acharya Vighneshchandra Jha expounded Srimad Bhagavad Mahapurana for
seven days for public weal, emphasising the universal relevance and value of
the ideas set forth in this great work.
Jauary 2007
A group of learned persons deliberated on certain dimensions of the Bhagavad-Gita,
and a learned paper on the Bhagavad-Gita and the Koran was read out and discussed.
